SummaryThe Security & Safety Manager supports the mission of The Museum of Flight by managing the Museum’s security and safety functions. This includes creating, implementing, and overseeing security and safety policies, regulations, and procedures to provide a safe environment for staff and visitors. This position manages a 24-hour, 7-days a week unarmed security team that is responsible for keeping property, people, and assets safe within the campus including artifacts, collections, grounds, staff, and visitors. This position leads and supports all security and safety requirements for daily operations including private events, functions, and public programming. In collaboration with other Museum leaders, the Security and Safety Manager works with Human Resources to create and maintain training and associated communications for staff and volunteers. This position is the primary interface with fire, law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, and neighboring security personnel.

The Museum of Flight offers full-time employees a generous and comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, a 403(b) retirement plan with a 5% match after 1 year of service, Employee Assistance Program, as well as company paid life insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and long-term disability.
Paid-Time OffOur paid time-off plans include 2 weeks of accrued sick leave and 2 weeks of vacation (80 hours each) per year, 10 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $100,000 to $112,916.70 depending on experience.
If you receive an offer, your starting salary will fall within the posted range. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including the scope of the position, years of relevant experience, specialized skills, internal equity, market conditions, and the candidate's qualifications and ability to successfully perform the role.
