Lighting Sales Representative
Job Description

Seeking a Lighting Sales Representative with 5 to 10 years of experience who is responsible for promoting and selling lighting products and solutions to clients, businesses, and organizations. 
This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, providing expertise on lighting products, and meeting sales targets. A Lighting Sales Representative with 5 to 10 years of experience is a seasoned professional who excels in building client relationships and meeting sales goals. Their expertise in lighting products and solutions is instrumental in helping clients make informed decisions to improve their lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Identify potential clients and establish relationships with existing customers.
  • Act as a point of contact for inquiries, concerns, and orders related to lighting products. 

Product Knowledge:
Maintain an in-depth understanding of various lighting products, including LED lighting, fixtures, controls, and energy-efficient solutions. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Consultative Sales: Understand clients' needs and objectives and offer tailored lighting solutions that align with their goals, energy efficiency requirements, and budget constraints.
Sales Presentations: Create and deliver compelling sales presentations that highlight the features and benefits of lighting products.
Explain technical details in a clear and concise manner.
Quoting and Proposals: Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, including pricing, product specifications, and estimated project timelines.
Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to secure orders and close sales deals.
Order Processing: Coordinate the order processing, delivery, and installation of lighting products with the clients and the internal teams.
Market Research: Continuously analyze market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
Sales Targets: Work towards and achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the network and seek potential leads.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, fostering trust and loyalty.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activities, market insights, and progress toward sales targets.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in lighting sales or a related field, with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of lighting products, energy-efficient solutions, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to understand technical details and convey them in a customer-friendly manner.
  • Negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a team player.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events.

This person will work throughout the Eastern Division of Alabama.
