Job description

**Medical Director (Contract) – Remote**

Pittsburgh, PA (Tax Location)

5/25/2026 – 12/31/2026


**Overview:**

Seeking a Medical Director to review escalated cases for medical necessity, support case management teams, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations.


**Key Responsibilities:**


* Review cases using medical policy criteria

* Conduct peer-to-peer discussions as needed

* Handle appeals, grievances, and determinations

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams


**Requirements:**


* MD or DO (Board Certified)

NCQA, URAC, CMS, DOH, and DOL

* 5+ years of direct patient care

* Active license in PA, NY, or WV

* Managed care and utilization review experience preferred


**Details:**

* Fully remote | 40 hrs/week

* Contract (potential for hire)

* Pay: $189–$250/hr (FT est. $225K–$300K)

* US Citizen required
