Job description

Overview
Mpower Direct is looking for a part-time janitor to maintain the cleanliness of our office. The janitor will work to ensure the upkeep and safety of the office under the supervision of the office manager.
The ideal candidate is comfortable as a team player who can take and follow directions and promote a safe work environment for all. The candidate should also be comfortable in a role that is physically demanding, as some duties may require lifting 20 pounds or more, standing, sitting, bending, and walking. The position will also require minor handyman skills for small jobs around the office.
Responsibilities
Office Cleaning Responsibilities Include:
  • Remove trash and follow all trash disposal guidelines to help ensure we avoid fines and keep our building compliant
  • Break down boxes and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Clean glass walls, doors, and windows using Windex
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust office areas, ledges, surfaces, and common spaces
  • Clean faucets, fixtures, and office hardware
  • Clean and maintain the water dispenser and mini fridge
  • Organize office supplies and shared areas as needed
  • Scrub and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets
  • Restock bathroom toiletries and coffee center supplies
  • Notify administration when supplies are running low

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Reliable and dependable with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Able to walk up and down a flight of stairs
  • Takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment
