In this position, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts throughout the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through detailed design, manufacturing, and testing. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, program management, procurement, manufacturing, and customers to deliver high-performance battery solutions.

  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to make critical technical and program decisions.
  • Identify technical challenges, develop solutions, and communicate impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and present CAD models, prototypes, and technical presentations.
  • Create supporting documentation including bills of materials, assembly procedures, and installation instructions.
  • Perform detailed design analysis, modeling, and performance simulations.
  • Support prototype builds, manufacturing, validation, and testing activities.
  • Verify battery hardware and software meet system requirements and performance objectives.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of engineering experience within automotive, aerospace, industrial, energy storage, or related industries.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing lithium-ion battery packs or closely related technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and testing battery systems for electrified propulsion or stationary energy storage.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Working knowledge of UL or similar regulatory certification processes.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as CATIA or SolidWorks.
  • Experience using analysis tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, or equivalent finite element analysis software.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Four or more years of project management experience.
  • Experience with Battery Management System (BMS) software development and control algorithms.
  • Experience with battery modeling, simulation, or experimental battery research.

Why Apply?
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced battery technologies while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
