Work Environment

The position is based in Sacramento, California, but will be conducted primarily in a remote setting, allowing for both telemedicine and in-person patient interactions. Our outpatient office is modernly designed, providing a calming atmosphere for both staff and patients. Additionally, there are no night shifts, hospital calls, or weekend work, ensuring a stable schedule for our team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform individualized treatment plans that integrate cultural considerations and address specific patient needs.

• Monitor and assess patient progress regularly, adjusting interventions and strategies in response to their evolving mental health diagnoses.

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records, reports, and other essential clinical documentation using the latest technology in compliance with regulatory standards and departmental protocols.

• Collaborate closely with patients and their families to develop tailored treatment plans that emphasize desired outcomes and patient-centered goals.

• Proactively ensure patient safety through monitoring, intervention development, and symptom management while promoting a team-oriented approach to care delivery.

• Coordinate referrals and serve as a vital link between patients and external treatment providers, establishing and nurturing effective professional relationships with other clinicians and agencies.

• Engage in mentorship opportunities by providing guidance to students, interns, and volunteers, thereby fostering the next generation of mental health professionals.

• Under supervision, participate in peer review, clinical collaboration, chart audits, and coaching sessions to support the professional development of team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse outpatient population, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, allowing for rich interactions that require sensitivity to cultural differences and specific patient needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current LCSW license in the State of California.

• Strong ability to engage in physical activities as necessary, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Experience handling case documentation and maintaining records without exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly handling varied and complex cases.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools to facilitate remote patient interactions effectively.

• Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and community resource involvement.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, a 401k plan with matching contributions, and generous paid parental leave. Additionally, our unique compensation structure allows for unlimited earnings potential, and a sign-on bonus is included.
