Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to accurately understand clients' needs and create tailored treatment plans that align with their goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for individuals, groups, and families, employing a full range of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Collaborate effectively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients.
• Respond to crisis situations effectively, utilizing your clinical expertise to deliver immediate support and intervention when clients are in acute distress.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and educational programs aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental illnesses.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Mood Care Psychological Services, you will work with a wide range of clients representing various backgrounds, age groups, and mental health needs. Our client population includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Qualifications

• An active and independent license as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Candidates with a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) are also encouraged to apply.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to establish meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and adaptability to effectively work with diverse populations, considering the unique challenges they face.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and agency-specific requirements.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting providing individual and group therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a proficiency in utilizing these tools for efficient documentation and client management.
• Experience working in community mental health or outpatient therapy settings is highly valued.
