Position Summary

Momentum Association Management is seeking an experienced Meeting Manager to lead the planning and execution of conferences, annual meetings, educational programs, and special events for our association clients.

This is a part-time, project-based contractor position ideal for an experienced meeting professional who enjoys managing complex events while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Meeting Managers serve as the primary operational lead for assigned events, partnering with Executive Directors, volunteer committees, venues, vendors, and speakers to ensure every event is delivered professionally and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Leadership

• Develop event strategy.
• Manage timelines.
• Lead project teams.

Financial Management

• Develop budgets.
• Negotiate contracts.
• Monitor profitability.

Client Management

• Advise clients.
• Lead planning meetings.
• Manage sponsor fulfillment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of conference or meeting management experience.
  
• Experience managing conferences from planning through onsite execution.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience managing event budgets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.
  

Preferred

• Experience with Cvent, CE21, GrowthZone, MemberClicks, or other registration platforms
  
• Experience supporting association or nonprofit meetings
• Previous conference onsite experience
• Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft 365, Monday.com, and Canva
