Job description

AV Technician

Mocklin Audio Visual, Inc., a leading AV System Integrator throughout Orange and Los

Angeles counties, creates, installs, and commissions integrated A/V systems for clients

in the public and private sectors. Possessing experience across a broad array of

industry technologies, Mocklin AV possesses a strong expertise in the government

sector. The installation division is currently seeking a career-minded individual to join

their installation team. The following is a general overview of skills and abilities sought

in an Audio Visual Technician at Mocklin Audio Visual, Inc. as they relate to the

requirements of the position:

POSITION - RESPONSIBILITIES

• Rack construction, pulling cable, and preparing equipment for installation

• Installation of completed racks, projectors, monitors and related sub mounts

• Assists with testing of system components to assure system completeness and

convention

• Uses company approved installation methods and techniques

• Ensures all work complies with company policies, procedures, standards and

conventions

• Assures each system’s physical completeness is in accordance with installation

drawings

• Maintain an on-going dialog with Lead Project Engineer, and Project Manager,

ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules

and expectations

• The Installation Technician is responsible for maintaining his assigned equipment

inventory, and assigned tools

• Handles other duties relative to the job as assigned by management / lead

engineer

• Follows and maintains proper safety practices

• Maintain professional appearance

QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability be a team player and maintain high motivation and attention to detail

- Must be willing to work occasional overtime if needed

- Arrive to work on time and ready to work- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds above head both on ground or on ladder unassisted

- Strong written, verbal and customer service skills; strong interpersonal skills and

the ability to work with various internal departments and personnel

- Ability to pass a DOJ Background Check

-Strong background in electronics and low voltage integration including a solid job

history/tenure working for an established AV contractor

-Proven track record implementing Extron, Crestron and AMX audio visual

software, as well as various DSP audio processors

- Current or pursuing CTS and CTS-I is a plus

- Audio Visual certifications are a plus (Extron, Crestron, AMX, Bi-AMP, etc.)

- Experience installing, testing and troubleshooting complex AV systems, as well as

strong knowledge of proper equipment rack wiring standards and proper installation and

mounting methods for flat panel displays, projection screens and various structure types

-General proficiency in specialized software applications specific to the AV industry;

plus, the use of programs such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and MS Word
