Job description

Position: Clinical Supervisor

Compensation: $75.00 per hour

Employment Type: Contract/Part-Time (Hours based on intern caseload)

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development for counseling interns. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure that interns deliver ethical, evidence-based, and culturally responsive mental health services while meeting academic, state licensing, and agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to counseling and social work interns.
  • Review and discuss clinical cases, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for quality and compliance.
  • Support interns in developing clinical skills, ethical decisionmaking, and professional identity.
  • Ensure interns adhere to agency policies, legal standards, HIPAA regulations, and professional codes of ethics.
  • Offer constructive feedback and evaluate intern performance throughout the placement.
  • Maintain required supervision documentation and complete evaluations for academic institutions as needed.
  • Consult with program leadership regarding intern progress, challenges, and training needs.
  • Promote a supportive learning environment that encourages growth, accountability, and clinical excellence.
  • Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license in the applicable state (LPC, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT).
  • Qualified to provide clinical supervision under state licensing board requirements.
  • Minimum of 3 years of postlicensure clinical experience (supervisory experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of evidencebased therapeutic practices, ethics, and documentation standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supervising graduatelevel counseling or social work interns.
  • Experience working in outpatient behavioral health or community mental health settings.
  • Familiarity with traumainformed and culturally responsive care.
  • Compensation
  • $75.00 per hour
