POSITION

The Regional Accounts Receivable Manager serves as a key resource for Skilled Nursing billing, collections, cash management, and compliance throughout an assigned region. This position partners closely with Administrators, Business Office Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and corporate leadership to ensure billing accuracy, optimize collections, and support financial success across multiple communities.

This role provides training, auditing, coaching, and operational support to Business Office teams while helping resolve complex payer issues and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and experienced in Skilled Nursing revenue cycle operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee Skilled Nursing billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities throughout the assigned region

  • Audit and evaluate Business Office operations to ensure compliance and best practices

  • Train and mentor Business Office Managers and other financial staff

  • Assist facilities with collection strategies and payer issue resolution

  • Analyze financial data and identify opportunities for process improvement

  • Monitor month-end close activities, including auditing charges, census, and cash receipts

  • Review financial record-keeping systems, deposits, and payment processes

  • Prepare revenue and accounts receivable reports for regional leadership

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of Business Office Managers

  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and other payer requirements

  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned region to support communities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree required

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Skilled Nursing Facility Business Office Manager

  • Strong understanding of Skilled Nursing billing, collections, and revenue cycle management

  • Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers

  • Strong knowledge of payer portals and claims management systems

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to independently research issues and recommend solutions

  • Strong communication and training skills

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or a related field

  • Multi-facility Skilled Nursing experience

  • Experience training and developing Business Office staff

  • Advanced knowledge of long-term care reimbursement regulations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
