MIRA is building the most proactive AI to replace the phone: lightweight AI glasses that remember every conversation, answer any question in under a second, translate 60+ languages, and surface the right context exactly when you need it.
We recently sold out and shipped our first batch of units, and we're moving fast. MIRA has raised over $6M from General Catalyst, Naval Ravikant, Pillar VC, and more.
We're a small team of engineers and builders in San Francisco solving the hardest problems in consumer AI and wearable hardware: real-time responses, ambient context understanding, all-day wearable design, and more.

Responsibilities
MIRA is looking for a talented Firmware Engineer to help build the next evolution of human-computer interaction. This role is full-time, in-person, in San Francisco.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software or firmware engineering experience.
- Strong systems programming fundamentals (C/C++, Rust, embedded systems, low-level debugging, RTOS, BLE, device communication stacks, etc.).
- Experience building complex technical products end-to-end, ideally across hardware and software boundaries.
- Strong product intuition and ability to make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs in fast-moving environments.
- Comfortable working close to hardware, debugging real devices, and shipping production systems under tight iteration cycles.
These might make you a great fit:
- Experience with wireless protocols, embedded Linux, microcontrollers, sensors, audio pipelines, power optimization, or real-time systems is a major plus.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup, ideally as a Founding or early engineer, is a strong plus.
- Prior experience building consumer hardware products is a strong plus.
