About Us
Northwest Eye Clinic offers comprehensive surgical and medical eye services for the entire family. Our providers deliver a full spectrum of care - from routine exams to advanced disease management - and we're proud to offer leading-edge technology, including the Valeda Light Delivery System, an FDA-authorized treatment option for dry age-related macular degeneration. As part of our team, you'll work alongside experienced ophthalmologists, optometrists, and support staff dedicated to exceptional, patient-centered care.
About the Role
We're seeking a Medical Optometrist to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of non-surgical eye conditions. This role focuses on medical eye care - including retinal disease, inflammatory eye disorders, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, and ocular complications of systemic illness - within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
What You'll Do
  • Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and ocular health
  • Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular conditions
  • Prescribe medications, therapeutic treatments, and corrective lenses as needed
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers on patient referrals and co-management
  • Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate, compliant patient records
  • Stay current with advancements in optometry and ocular disease management

What You Bring
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
  • OD residency or relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Valid Minnesota Optometry license preferred
  • Experience in medical optometry and ocular disease management preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
