Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through regular virtual meetings, ensuring to collect essential information for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and cater to the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing culturally responsive approaches to foster a supportive environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide ongoing support and resources for clients, equipping them with the coping skills necessary to address issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a varied clientele, including adolescents and adults experiencing mental health disorders, co-occurring substance use issues, and unique challenges related to social and cultural contexts. Your expertise will empower clients from diverse backgrounds to navigate their personal struggles and achieve optimal mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LCSW-R.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, including evidence-based practices.
• Proven experience in delivering culturally competent therapy that respects and integrates clients' backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong crisis intervention skills that allow you to provide effective support during challenging moments.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
