Job description

Job Summary

MindFirst Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Technician to support patients receiving outpatient psychiatric and behavioral health services. The Behavioral Health Technician will assist clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring patient progress, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a safe and supportive treatment environment.

Our practice specializes in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health conditions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient intake and appointment preparation
  • Record and update patient information in electronic health records
  • Monitor patient behavior and report concerns to clinical staff
  • Support psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient communications
  • Assist with telehealth appointment setup and support
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
  • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred
  • Previous healthcare, behavioral health, or mental health experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Basic computer and electronic medical record skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
