ASL Educational Interpreter — Virginia Beach, VA (2026-2027 School Year)

Millennials Virtual Services (MVS) is hiring an ASL Educational Interpreter to support a deaf or hard-of-hearing student in the Virginia Beach area for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an embedded, on-site role, you'll work with the same student throughout the year, providing continuity and consistency in a setting where that relationship really matters.

What you'll do:

• Provide ASL interpretation during regular classroom instruction
• Provide ASL interpretation for extracurricular activities the student participates in
• Work directly with the student, teachers, and school staff to support a smooth, accessible school day
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in accordance with school and student privacy standards

What we're looking for:

• Must live at or near Virginia Beach, VA
• Prior experience interpreting in a K-12 or educational setting required
• VQAS Level II +, EIPA 3.5+, or equivalent national certification
• Someone reliable, patient, and comfortable building a consistent working relationship with a student throughout the school year

What we offer:

• Competitive compensation: $40-$45/hour

Schedule: Follows the Virginia Beach City Public Schools academic calendar, covering the regular school day plus applicable extracurricular activities. This position is anticipated to run for the 2026-2027 school year based on continued program need.
