Job description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Mikron Tool Monroe's Shipping and Receiving Lead manages the shipping and receiving of all products, materials, and supplies. Other job duties include maintaining inventory, maintaining shipping stock supplies, and maintaining an organized warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily shipping of mostly small packages- some heavy volume days
  • Weekly shipping of backorders. Heavy volume days.
  • Receive in, and add to the stock, the weekly inventory incoming orders
  • Receive and record returns from customers
  • Receiving miscellaneous packages and distributing to the appropriate departments
  • Shipping and receiving marketing materials, as well as the organization of these materials and supplies
  • All aspects of daily Inventory control, as well as monthly cycle drawer counts
  • Working daily with multiple teams within the organization, including our main office in Europe when needed
  • Taking the initiative to find areas for improvement and presenting those ideas to management for implementation
  • Working as part of a logistics team with the other offices worldwide to align all policies, procedures, and ideas.
  • Maintaining the shipping supplies and ordering as needed
  • Organization and Cleanliness of the working area

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Employment Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Professional & Technical Education:
  • Programs used daily are SAP and Process Weaver, Worldship, Excel, Teams, Outlook
  • Equipment used: Pallet Jack experience required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Inventory control: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Shipping and Receiving Experience: 3 years (preferred)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:
  • None

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as in a typical office setting
  • Mikron Corp Monroe is a drug free working environment
  • Physical requirements: Ability to stand/walk eight hours a day and lift up to 75 pounds.
