Resident Manager – Fiber Optic Construction

3+ Year Contract

Huntsville, Client (onsite)

We are looking for a Resident Manager to support the construction of a dark fiber conduit line across Alabama. This job will be working in tandem with a Construction Manager and an Inspector. The Resident Manager should be based out of the Huntsville, Client area and expect to travel to the construction sites across Alabama roughly 80% of their time. The following are the primary role and responsibilities:

1. Inspect fiber optic construction sites to ensure they comply with contract terms and local, state, and federal regulations for safety and compliance
2. Conduct quality control checks to ensure that the work meets or exceeds the specifications outlined in the project plan
3. Communicate with contractors and other construction personnel to ensure they are meeting project schedule requirements
4. Report any discrepancies or problems with the construction site to Construction Manager for resolution
5. Identify and recommend improvements to the construction process to enhance efficiency and maintain project objectives
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all construction activity and project status

1. Construction Activity Register
2. Site Fiber Optic Inspection Register
3. Construction Site Discrepancies Register
