General Summary: This position is responsible for performs a variety of mechanical and basic electrical maintenance and repair work on plant equipment including Disamatic molding machines, shot blast machines, furnaces, pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, belts, water and air lines, valves, motors, electrical panels, generators, etc.
Essential Functions:
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Ensure all work areas remain clean and free of safety hazards
  • Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with required program.
  • Operates a variety of standard hand tools and power tools (drills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.) and other related equipment (welding) to make necessary repairs.
  • Install machinery and electrical systems to support a variety of foundry related equipment.
  • Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, etc. to perform required work.
  • Required to inspect the premises regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs when necessary.
  • Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Comply with all safety and PPE requirements as identified in plant protocols.
  • May be assigned other duties as needed.

Experience Required
  • Minimum of three (3) years Industrial Maintenance experience required.
  • Prior knowledge of green sand foundry practices, principles and equipment preferred.

Education & Skills Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industrial Maintenance courses/journeyman preferred.

Tools: Employee must supply own common tools. Specific tools will be supplied the Company.
