Description:
We are seeking a Locum Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The position will involve PRN coverage as needed.
This role includes rounding on post-operative patients, inpatient consultations, and emergency department consults.
There will be no telehealth responsibilities.
You will be responsible for clinical, surgical, and trauma/orthopedic call duties.
The average daily hospital practice census is currently 160 patients.
The appointment lengths vary from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the type of consult or procedure.
The facility serves a population of over 200,000 and encompasses 16 surrounding counties.
Ancillary staff support includes nursing, reception, surgery scheduling, and medical imaging services.
The role presents an opportunity for teaching residents and PA students.
Procedures offered include total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, as well as various surgical procedures for trauma injuries, fracture care, and sports medicine.
