Job description

Job Opportunity At Mercy Urgent Care

Mercy Urgent Care is excited to welcome an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this vital role you will deliver top-tier medical care for non-life-threatening conditions to the residents of Haywood County and surrounding Western North Carolina communities. If you're an Advanced Practice Provider looking to make a meaningful impact in a community-centered, mission-driven environment, we invite you to apply.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages and genders with acute illnesses and minor injuries
  • Perform common urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care, I&D) in a fast-paced setting, order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Actively engage in patient care, including conducting health exams, obtaining accurate medical histories, and maintaining detailed progress notes
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up, supporting continuity of care
  • Work closely with a collaborate care team to ensure high-quality care and smooth clinic operations

What You Bring:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active North Carolina PA or FNP license
  • Current BLS or ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
  • Valid NC driver's license and robust computer skills
