Equipment Manager
Position Summary
The Equipment Manager plays a critical role in ensuring our photography operations run smoothly by preparing, maintaining, and organizing all equipment used for photo shoots. This position is responsible for making sure every crew leaves with the right equipment in working order so each job can be completed efficiently and without interruption.
Preferable work hours are afternoon shift 12PM - 5PM or 1PM - 6PM. To be discussed as there is a bit of flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and inspect all photography equipment prior to scheduled photo shoots.
Ensure cameras, lenses, lighting, accessories, and other equipment are clean, organized, fully functional, and ready for use.
Manage and maintain company vans, ensuring they are properly stocked with all required equipment for each assignment.
Prepare and configure cameras, smartphones, iPads, and other digital devices needed for photo shoots.
Track equipment inventory and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning items.
Perform routine maintenance, charging, software updates, and organization of photography equipment.
Assist with loading and unloading equipment before and after shoots.
Upload and organize image files as needed to support production workflows.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient equipment room and vehicle storage areas.
Communicate with event staff and management regarding equipment needs and readiness.
Prepping paperwork that is associated with photoshoots prior to event (Printing and organizing)
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfortable working with cameras, mobile devices, iPads, and other technology.
Ability to lift and transport photography equipment (up to 50 pounds).
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn photography workflow software.
Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Detail oriented.
Previous experience with photography equipment or production operations.
Experience with digital file management and image uploading.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
