About the Internship Are you looking for hands-on experience in the heart of the produce industry? Melon Acres is offering a "boots-on-the-ground" internship for motivated high school seniors or college students eager to learn the ins and outs of a diversified farm operation. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a resume in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Business Management.
What Youโll Learn & Do:
- Crop Management: Assist with the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of our 2026 fruit and vegetable crops.
- Shipping & Logistics: Work in the shipping office to see how we move produce from our fields to the wider region.
- Customer Engagement: Support our CSA Program and help coordinate our Big Peach plans, gaining insight into direct-to-consumer marketing.
- General Farm Ops: Gain experience with daily tasks, equipment, and the "behind-the-scenes" of a working farm.
What Weโre Looking For:
- Education Status: Currently a High School Senior or enrolled in/recently graduated from college.
- A "Can-Do" Attitude: Self-motivated and ready to jump into any task, from the office to the field.
- Flexibility: Agriculture follows the weather! We need an intern who can handle the faster pace and longer hours of the summer harvest.
- Requirements: A valid driverโs license and the ability to pass a drug test are required.
