About this role
Join Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro as a Maintenance Mechanic and help keep our facilities safe, functional, and ready to serve patients, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will work on a wide range of building systems and equipment, from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and refrigeration. Your work helps support our mission of empathy amplified by creating a dependable environment where care can happen without interruption.
Key responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings and equipment and complete preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls after hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
  • Perform temporary or permanent repairs to secure systems and facilities.
  • Respond immediately to fire alarm systems and take action to protect occupants and property.
  • Assist with major and minor repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Advise management on facility conditions, concerns, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
  • Maintain grounds as needed.

What you will need
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • 3 to 4 years of building maintenance and repair experience required.
  • 1 year of healthcare building maintenance and repair experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly to urgent maintenance needs.
  • Ability to document work accurately and follow applicable regulations and codes.
