Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, assessing their strength, mobility, and pain levels to create effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement various therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, and patient education to facilitate recovery.
  • Continually monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, ensuring they comprehend methods of self-care and techniques to prevent re-injury.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, sharing insights and updates on patient developments.
  • Stay updated on the latest physical therapy practices through workshops and professional development opportunities, fostering continuous personal and professional growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Mega Motion, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will provide care to individuals ranging from young athletes to older adults, ensuring that treatment approaches are tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. This role requires not just physical therapy skills, but also empathy and communication, as you will be supporting patients through challenging rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to patients and collaborate with healthcare team members.
  • Proficiency in computer and documentation skills to facilitate efficient patient record keeping and treatment tracking.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cater to the varying needs of a diverse patient population.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field of physical therapy is preferred, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply due to our mentorship program.
  • Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or home care is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
