This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to impact the lives of individuals seeking mental health support from the comfort of your home, while still collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team.

About the Organization

Medstar Behavioral Health Center, based in Leominster, Massachusetts, is a well-respected outpatient mental health clinic committed to providing high-quality and accessible mental health services for individuals across all age groups. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment that fosters healing, growth, and resilience. Our team specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related conditions.

Work Environment

This position is designed to be performed remotely, providing a flexible work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive exceptional care. Our unique work setting includes a Detox Center, where we emphasize an integrative approach to mental health and detoxification, allowing for a comprehensive treatment experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments to gather detailed information regarding clients' mental health challenges, strengths, and resources.
  • Providing individual, family, and group therapy through evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, or trauma-informed practices.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that detail specific goals and interventions tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Collaborating actively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Conducting crisis interventions, risk assessments, and safety planning as appropriate to safeguard client wellbeing.
  • Maintaining precise and timely documentation that complies with ethical and legal standards, thereby enhancing the integrity of our clinical records.
  • Facilitating engaging group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups that encourage community and healing.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on diverse clientele seeking support for a range of mental health issues in a remote setting. This role is particularly critical for clients in detox programs, who often require sensitive and specialized therapeutic approaches tailored to their unique circumstances and experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in a mental health or outpatient setting is required, candidates with experience in substance use disorders, crisis intervention, or behavioral therapy will be highly valued. Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a potential sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to ensure your health and wellbeing.
  • Retirement plans with employer matching, promoting long-term financial stability.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation days, personal days, and holidays.
  • Access to continuing education and training programs to support your professional development.
