About the Role
As the Clinical Practice Lead, you will serve as a key clinical resource, mentor, and educator for nursing staff while supporting quality initiatives, professional practice standards, and clinical excellence across the organization.
Working closely with leadership and professional practice teams, you will help ensure frontline clinicians are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and support required to provide outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide mentorship, coaching, and clinical support to nursing staff
Facilitate and support clinical orientation and ongoing education initiatives
Promote evidence-based practice and professional nursing standards
Support quality improvement and risk management initiatives
Collaborate with operational leaders and community healthcare partners
Assist with implementation of clinical programs, policies, and best practices
Support special clinical functions in accordance with professional standards and legislation
Build strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders to support coordinated patient care
Utilize technology and virtual care tools to support staff and patient outcomes
Promote workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives
Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends on a scheduled basis
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Minimum 2 years of community nursing experience
Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care
Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be considered strong assets:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Community healthcare leadership experience
Palliative care expertise
Wound care experience
Knowledge of adult learning principles and clinical education
French language proficiency is considered an asset.
