Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform essential administrative duties, including managing patient appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR) with meticulous detail, and maintaining organized and accurate medical charts.
  • Greet patients warmly upon their arrival, collecting their medical history comprehensively and preparing them for examinations or treatments, ensuring a comfortable and informative experience.
  • Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, demonstrating proficiency with medical instruments and technology while maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring precise labeling and documentation to adhere to established protocols, streamlining communication with laboratory staff.
  • Administer medications, such as injections, under the guidance of physicians, prioritizing patient safety and adhering to strict dosage and medical protocols.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests, including urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring, ensuring accurate interpretation and documentation of results.
  • Provide education to patients regarding medications, procedures, and general healthcare guidelines, utilizing strong communication skills to enhance their understanding and support their care journeys.
  • Perform routine patient care tasks that include measuring vital signs, documenting height and weight, and processing patient information with keen attention to detail.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of examination rooms, ensuring sterilization of instruments and sufficient inventory levels of medical supplies to support optimal clinic operation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide coordinated patient care and contribute to developing comprehensive treatment plans targeting specific patient needs.

Preferred Experience

Although the minimum requirement is a high school diploma, candidates with a bachelor's degree in a related field will be preferred. Previous experience working in a medical office, particularly in a community health clinic or outpatient setting, will be highly beneficial. Familiarity with specific EHR systems and a history of collation and preparation of lab specimens or patient education are considered strong assets.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time Medical Assistant position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
