MDW Associates is seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Advisor, Operations and Organizational Effectiveness in Huntsville, Alabama to strengthen company operations and support MDW's continued growth as a federal professional services contractor. Working closely with MDW's executive leadership team, the Senior Advisor will help coordinate workforce planning and staffing, employee communications, program operations, client engagement, and selected business development initiatives.
This position is intended for an accomplished GovCon leader who can move comfortably between strategic and hands-on responsibilities. The successful candidate will help translate executive priorities into action, coordinate activities across corporate and program leadership, and take ownership of complex initiatives that span multiple areas of the company.
The Senior Advisor may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to MDW's executive leadership team and help translate leadership priorities into coordinated actions.
- Coordinate staffing requirements, vacancies, employee transitions, recruiting priorities, and workforce planning across MDW programs.
- Support clear and timely communications with employees, program managers, corporate departments, and other internal stakeholders.
- Assist program managers with employee matters, contract performance concerns, staffing challenges, and client requirements.
- Participate in selected client meetings, document follow-up actions, and help ensure that commitments and performance issues are addressed.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving operations, human resources, recruiting, finance, contracts, and business development.
- Review organizational processes and recommend practical improvements that strengthen accountability, communication, efficiency, and scalability.
- Develop management reports, performance measures, briefing materials, and executive communications.
- Support opportunity identification, capture planning, proposal development, customer engagement, and other selected business-development activities.
- Lead special projects and resolve issues that cross organizational or functional boundaries.
- Mentor program managers and emerging company leaders.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize work from multiple customers meeting or exceeding deadlines.
- Requires high proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced skills in Excel.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, work independently, be able to maintain confidentiality of data, and communicate effectively in writing, person to person, and in meetings.
- Requires the ability to travel if needed.
Education Requirements:
- Candidates for this position must possess a BA/BS degree.
