The Recovery Specialist plays a vital role in supporting clients in a recovery-focused residential environment. This position works directly with the Program Manager to ensure a safe, structured, and welcoming space while upholding the mission, values, and philosophy of McAlister Institute.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute
- Conduct drug testing for clients
- Perform daily client room checks and routine hallway monitoring
- Respond to and address client requests in a timely and professional manner
- Transport clients to approved destinations such as hospitals, appointments, or other scheduled activities
- Monitor and oversee scheduled client medications
- Assist counselors and other staff with program duties as requested
Requirements
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience.
- Bilingual proficiency is highly preferred.
- Compliance with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, and reporting.
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screening, including references, education verification, a criminal background check with at least one year clear of probation or parole, a drug test, and a negative TB test.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- On-site position.
