Salary: $16-$18 Hourly DOE
Position Summary
The Facility Driver provides safe, reliable, and professional transportation for clients of our outpatient and residential treatment programs. This role supports client access to clinical services, medical appointments, and other facility-related needs. Due to the nature of our programming, schedules and routes vary daily and require flexibility, dependability, and a compassionate approach to working with individuals in recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport clients to and from the outpatient clinic, residential facility, and other program-related destinations
- Pick up new clients at intake and transport them to begin services
- Drive clients to medical appointments, pharmacy visits, and doctor's offices
- Run facility-related errands as directed by program staff
- Maintain punctuality and communicate proactively about delays or changes
- Assist clients in and out of vehicles courteously and safely
- Keep facility vehicles clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition; report maintenance needs promptly
- Complete accurate mileage and trip logs for all facility vehicle use
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and facility safety policies
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility policy
- Use personal vehicle when a facility vehicle is unavailable (mileage reimbursed at current IRS rate)
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR check required)
- Minimum age of 21
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug testing
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work a flexible, on-call, or variable schedule
- Comfort and sensitivity working with individuals in behavioral health treatment.
Preferred
- Prior experience transporting clients in a healthcare, behavioral health, or social services setting
- Familiarity with the local area and surrounding communities
- First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
