The Special Education Teacher will work primarily with mixed age groups of students with autism, providing individualized support within classrooms with a typical student-teacher ratio of 1:6. This role involves developing and delivering adapted curriculum and managing classroom behavior while occasionally collaborating with other specialists to meet each student's unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct classroom instruction tailored to students with autism
- Manage student behavior effectively
- Conduct ongoing student assessments and progress monitoring
- Collaborate occasionally with other educational specialists
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in special education
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
