Job Type: Contract, Commercial New Build
Compensation:
  • Journeyperson: $42.26/hr
  • Apprentices: $21.13/hr – $33.80/hr (based on experience)
Matrix HR is actively seeking dedicated Journeyperson and Apprentice Electricians to join a dynamic team for an exciting commercial new build project in Lethbridge, Alberta. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a significant local development, offering a minimum of 2 to 3 months of steady work. If you are a motivated electrician looking to apply your skills in a professional and safe work environment, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on a commercial new build site.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure all work adheres to Canadian Electrical Code and local regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and site personnel.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and components as required.
Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician ticket or active Apprentice registration.
  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
  • Certifications Required:
    • Fall Protection
    • Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
    • WHMIS 2025
    • Worker Health and Safety Awareness (4 or 5 Steps)
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
  • Committed to maintaining high safety standards on site.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Journeyperson Rate: $42.26 per hour
  • Apprentice Rates: $21.13 per hour – $33.80 per hour (based on experience and level)
