If you are a "people person" who thrives on building local partnerships and organizing engaging events for families, we want to meet you!
Core Mission
To serve as the face of Mathnasium in the community. You will strengthen local awareness and family engagement through active school outreach, grassroots partnerships, and high-energy events that build trust and word-of-mouth growth.
Key Responsibilities
School & Local Partnerships (60%)
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain active partnerships with local K-12 schools, PTAs, principals, and after-school program directors.
  • On-Site Presence: Represent Mathnasium at school carnivals, back-to-school nights, and community festivals.
  • Business Networking: Establish "Community Partner" relationships with local businesses (cafes, libraries, and youth shops) for co-hosted activities or physical display opportunities.
  • Logistics & Tracking: Maintain an organized database of school contacts, event calendars, and follow-up actions to ensure consistent community presence.

In-Center & Community Events (40%)
  • Event Planning: Lead the execution of monthly events such as Math Nights, STEM Showcases, and Family Game Days.
  • Student Engagement: Manage in-center culture builders like the "Estimation Jar" and "Student Appreciation" awards to keep families excited and involved.
  • On-the-Ground Promotion: Distribute physical flyers and posters to local hubs and coordinate with the center team to ensure parents are personally invited to upcoming events.
  • Feedback & Growth: Gather feedback from parents during events to improve the family experience and report on community sentiment.

The Ideal Candidate
  • The Ultimate Ambassador: Energetic, social, and genuinely comfortable speaking with parents, educators, and children.
  • Community-Minded: Ability to build a deep understanding of the local Bay Area neighborhood landscape.
  • Organized Coordinator: Strong ability to juggle multiple event dates and follow-up tasks without letting details slip through the cracks.
  • Experience: Previous experience in community organizing, PTA leadership, youth programs, or public relations is highly valued.
  • Mobile: Reliable transportation and the willingness to travel frequently to local schools and community sites.

Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
