New -Senior Project Controls Specialist - Cost
(Pomona, Hybrid, CA)

Looking for a Senior Project Controls Specialistto performthe following duties at client Pomonaoffice: Typical Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project budgets/baseline and expenditure plans for assigned major and/or multi-year project(s) and/or programs.
  
• Develop the aggregation, reconciliation, and update to the budget(s), forecast(s) and spending plan(s) according to jurisdiction splits, asset types, cost drivers, and funding sources.
  
• Perform detailed research, updates, and data gathering/analysis in areas of cost controls (e.g. budget, actual, commitment, contingency, earned value, cost per unit, cost impact analysis).
  
• Prepare and present results, alternatives, and/or recommendations to support business decisions, to manage project costs and schedules, and to mitigate potential risks to major and/or multi-year project(s) and/or programs.
  
• Support the implementation, analysis, and reporting of the project portfolio
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders and utilize applicable estimating, cost management, and/or scheduling knowledge, techniques, and tools to document scope and cost.
  
• Collaborate with and obtain data/information from various project stakeholders (e.g. project managers, functional managers, discipline leads, and team members) in a matrixed organizational structure.
• Ability to communicate effectively, maintain positive working relationships, and exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with multiple parties.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday (Two days in Pomonaoffice/job site, three days remote)

Ability to commute/relocate:

Pomona, CA 91768: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

A combination of education, training, and experience, generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a 4-year college graduate

Preferred: Finance, Accounting, or Mathematical background

Experience:

Required: 7+ years’ experience in cost controls/management
Required: Demonstrated experience in Project Management, Project Controls, and/or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
Required: Experience using Microsoft software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Solutions application. Power BI
Preferred: Utility construction experience

License/Certification:

PMP (Preferred)
