You'll play an important role in the operations of the company because your work helps ensure the health and safety of our animals. We need people who have a fine attention to detail and care about the facility and the welfare of the animals. Our students perform a variety of functions like cleaning cages; but you also get to move animals from one building to another using a "buggie" transport vehicle.

Student employees perform many types of entry-level jobs according to the needs of the company. Student employees generally work in Animal Husbandry.

The shift is primarily Monday - Friday, 3- 6pm when school is in session, and 630-930am Saturdays. During the summer the number of hours increases based on the need of the business. 

Pay rate for student positions is $17/hour 

Requirements

We are looking for people who can handle the physical requirements of lifting, cleaning and basic health and who don't mind getting their hands dirty, to play a key role in animal welfare. Good communication and organizational skills are essential as well as the ability to work independently or with others.

Student employees will contribute to a productive and professional environment by setting a positive example and demonstrating enthusiasm, diligence, and ethical behavior and by taking responsibility for ones' actions and challenging oneself to continually improve. 

Work Conditions:

Work may be physically demanding with a requirement to lift animals.  Temperatures may vary. Hearing protection may be required. 

This position may require operation of motorized buggy.
