Job description

Project Engineer – Civil Construction  

Location: Wasatch County, Utah 

Employment Type: Full-Time 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. This role is essential to the successful planning, coordination, and execution of a project—including excavation, road grading, and underground utilities. 
 
The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, field experience, and an understanding of construction management principles to help drive projects forward on time and within budget. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support and oversee daily construction activities across the site 

  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedules and meet project milestones 

  • Monitor production, quantities, and costs to ensure efficient use of resources 

  • Assist with project scheduling, procurement, and documentation 

  • Conduct site inspections and contribute to safety, quality control, & compliance efforts 

  • Provide timely communication between field teams, management, and office staff 

  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and generate reports 

  • Assist in the preparation and review of plans, specifications, and submittals 

Qualifications 

  • 1–5 years of experience in civil construction or related field preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience 

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Busybusy 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record 

  • Ability to pass a drug test
