Description:

Overview: Margaritaville and Landshark are looking for a fun, outgoing, and community-minded Local Store Marketer who knows how to bring people together and turn good vibes into great business. Will be responsible for connecting with people, creating memorable experiences, and making your local community feel like part of the Margaritaville family. 

Position Description:

  • Working alongside the General Manager and management team to create and execute fun, engaging local marketing programs that drive guest loyalty, traffic, check average, and overall sales
  • Bringing Margaritaville and Landshark’s island-inspired promotions, events, food, beverages, live entertainment, and gift card programs to life throughout the local community and tourists. 
  • Building relationships through local outreach with businesses, hotels, resorts, tourism partners, radio stations, and other community influencers
  • Creating strong, ongoing partnerships with neighboring businesses, hotels, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, and community groups
  • Helping develop and execute charitable events, community gatherings, live-music activations, and other memorable experiences that position Margaritaville as a fun and welcoming part of the community
  • Finding creative ways to bring the Margaritaville and Landshark lifestyle beyond the restaurant and introduce new guests to our food, music, hospitality, and laid-back island spirit
  • Assisting with public relations efforts, including media appearances, cooking segments, community events, publicity opportunities, and local promotions.
  • Representing Margaritaville and Landshark at festivals, tourism events, networking opportunities, and community activities with enthusiasm and plenty of good vibes
  • Track referral activity, ensure timely fulfillment of rewards/incentives, and identify ways to increase participation.
  • Manage day-to-day content and posting across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
  • Plan a content calendar aligned with events, promotions, and seasonal menu changes.
  • Capture photo/video content of food, events, and atmosphere.
  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content for all channels in line with each unique company brand guidelines.
  • Working closely with the General Manager, management team, and restaurant staff to communicate upcoming programs, events, marketing plans, and results
  • Most importantly, helping guests escape to paradise—even if they're just down the street from home!


Requirements:

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 or more years of experience in event planning, marketing, promotions, or social media management (restaurant/hospitality experience preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with social media platforms and basic content creation (photo/video a plus)
  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable representing the brand in the community
  • Builds relationships within local nightlife community, F&B, promoters, and other industry leaders
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends for events as needed
  • Existing local network or community connections
  • Photography/videography skills
  • Excellent telephone, social media and email etiquette.
  • Creative thinker, specialized operator with the ability to implement action plans that grow business.
  • Detail oriented
  • Enjoy interacting with people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and physically demanding environment.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with our guests in the primary language of the restaurant, specific to location. (Primarily English)
  • Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment:

  • Exposed to weather conditions and prevalent temperature changes.
  • Subject to moderate to high ambient noise levels.
  • Frequently required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and guests.
