Job description

About SettLiT
SettLiT is Marble's US legal-market platform: digital health intelligence for personal injury and mass-tort law firms. We give these firms fast, compliant access to the health and claims data their cases depend on. Structured medical data and fraud signals turn months of waiting into days of usable case intelligence, so firms can evaluate, resolve, and finance cases with confidence - and claimants get to resolution faster.

About Marble
The world's most valuable data can't be scraped or bought. Health records, insurance, identity, and legal information are regulated, consent-bound, and locked behind portals, paper, and legacy systems. Marble is the authorization layer that unlocks it: infrastructure for securely accessing, permissioning, and using protected information. We started in health and legal with Medchart and SettLiT, and we're building the consent-driven data network for every regulated industry.

The Opportunity
We're hiring a Business Development Representative to fuel the growth of SettLiT's sales team. You'll be on the front lines of our go-to-market motion - identifying and engaging prospective US plaintiff law firms, qualifying leads, and booking high-quality meetings for our Account Executives. It's an ideal role for someone early in their SaaS sales career who thrives on outbound prospecting and building relationships, and it's foundational to our sales org, with a clear growth path into an AE or other revenue roles.

Why join
You'll work on a problem AI can't solve without us: the hardest, most valuable data in the economy is inaccessible by design, and we're building the rails that make it usable. It's a small team with real revenue and real customers, so you'll sell something that works, see your impact directly, and help shape how we grow.

Responsibilities
  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn) targeting mass tort and personal injury law firms in the U.S.
  • Research and identify target accounts and key stakeholders within our ideal customer profile (ICP).
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, urgency, and buying intent.
  • Book qualified discovery meetings and product demos for Account Executives.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets for outreach activity, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity in our CRM.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategies.
  • Gather and share market feedback to help improve positioning and sales processes.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or customer-facing role (SaaS or B2B preferred).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools such as Hubspot, Sales Linkedin Navigator, Salesforce.
  • Strong interest in sales and a desire to grow a career in B2B SaaS.
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and rejection - you see it as part of the process, not a failure.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • This is a hybrid role, with three days per week in our office at Richmond and Spadina in downtown Toronto.
  • Demonstrated behaviours that reinforce Marble's values: Hunger, Humility, and Care.
Bonus Experience
  • Exposure to legal tech, data services, or selling into law firms.
  • Experience in an early-stage startup or fast-growing sales environment.
  • Prior experience booking meetings or supporting a full-cycle sales team.
What Marble Offers
  • An opportunity to have an outsized impact at an early stage technology company focused on solving critically important consumer healthcare and legal data challenges.
  • A collaborative, values-driven culture rooted in Hunger, Humility, and Care.
  • Strong learning, growth, and career development opportunities
  • Competitive compensation and benefits in a rapidly growing, mission-driven company.
Note: Successful candidates will be asked to undergo a background check.

Marble is proud to be a diverse and equal opportunity employer and as such does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, national origins, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws. Selection decisions are solely based on job-related factors.

Please note, you will be asked to complete the Plum Discovery Survey, a behavioural assessment provided by our partner, Plum, after submitting your application. After completing the assessment, you will receive your personalized Plum Profile that reveals your Plum Talents, so you can gain a greater understanding of your natural strengths and what makes you, you! You will be provided with a link to complete this survey once you have submitted your application.

Existing Vacancy Disclosure: This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for variable compensation tied to performance.

To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors, including a candidate's skills, education, experience, market demand, business needs, and internal equity. We may also adjust this range in the future based on market data.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
