Purpose:
The intent of this job description is to establish duties and assignments for the position named above that support the quality policy, management objectives, and quality system of Mar-Bal, Inc. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee may be required to perform other duties to support established company goals, policies and procedures.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility failures
- Maintain machine and facility preventative maintenance schedule
- Report and correct safety issues as directed
- Must maintain forklift license
- Perform facility grounds maintenance as needed
- Update, rebuild, and relocate equipment
- Look for and suggest ways to improve equipment and processes
- Work in a safety conscious manner
- Maintain good housekeeping
- Maintain inventory of supplies and request reorder as required
- Communicate machine and system issues across shifts
- Must be able and willing to work weekends and over time as needed
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Intermediate-Level
- Understands who our customers (plant employees) are and what good customer service means
- Machine/facility troubleshooting and repair
- Understanding of electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, PLC's, HMI's
- Understanding of how to use a multimeter and amp clamp meter
- Welding and torch use
- Understanding of milling machine, drill press, metal brake, metal shear
- Understanding of preventative maintenance processes and procedures
- Good attitude toward training and learning new skills
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- Must be able to lift, push or pull 70 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with overtime or schedule adjustments as needed to meet business demands.
