Job description

Job Opportunity: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Meadowlark, Manhattan, KS
Organization Type: Not-for-Profit | Senior Living Community
About Us:
Meadowlark is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of seniors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Environmental Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair appliances and participate in weekend on-call rotations.
  • Support the planning and implementation of maintenance operations across grounds, buildings, and equipment.
  • Maintain heating and cooling systems, inspecting for wear, leaks, and functionality-especially during seasonal transitions.
  • Apply HVAC knowledge (Mechanical Journeyman License and EPA 608 certification preferred).
  • Inspect and test fire alarms and emergency systems; maintain accurate records.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering positive relationships with residents.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in HVAC systems and general building maintenance.
  • HVAC certification and mechanical licensing preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to safety and resident satisfaction.
  • Must have a clean driving record, pass a drug test and become a Meadowlark approved driver.
