Job description

Junior Project Manager


Position Overview

The Junior Project Manager supports Project Managers in the successful execution of

commercial flooring projects from project turnover through closeout. This role develops future

Project Managers through hands-on experience in planning, scheduling, procurement, customer

communication, project documentation, and field coordination. The position works closely with

the lead project manager, site leads, warehouse personnel, installers, vendors, and general

contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Maly Ceramic Tile's

quality standards.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, coordination, and project closeout.
  • Coordinate with General Contractors, Site Leads, vendors, warehouse personnel, installers,
  • and subcontractors.
  • Monitor schedules, identify conflicts, and communicate project risks early.
  • Track material procurement, deliveries, backorders, and jobsite readiness.
  • Prepare RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting notes, and maintain project
  • documentation.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings, site visits, quality reviews, and punch list completion.
  • Support billing documentation and project closeout.
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication.
  • Develop knowledge of commercial flooring products, installation methods, and
  • manufacturer requirements.
  • Perform other duties supporting successful project execution.


Qualifications

  • Construction experience preferred; commercial flooring experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings or willingness to learn.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and project software are a plus.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
