Job description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role located in Santa Fe, NM. The Paralegal will support attorneys by preparing and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, and managing deadlines and court filings. Daily tasks include conducting legal research, reviewing and summarizing documents, drafting correspondence and pleadings, and coordinating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner. The role also involves assisting in case preparation for hearings and trials, tracking case progress against project blueprints, and ensuring that all information is accurate, complete, and securely maintained. The Paralegal works closely with the legal team to support efficient case management and consistent client communication.


Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Law and legal procedures, with experience supporting attorneys in a law firm or similar professional setting.
  • Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and client correspondence.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, courts, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated Research abilities, including legal research using online databases and resources, and summarizing findings clearly.
  • Attention to detail in Document Review, including organizing case files, identifying key information, and proofreading for accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and legal practice management tools; comfort working with digital case files.
  • Paralegal certificate or relevant education in legal studies preferred; prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is highly beneficial.
