    Job description

    Sports Medicine Physician

    This position would join our multi-specialty group of physicians that make up our orthopedic, sports medicine, and spine specialists. This position would work closely with our outreach athletic training staff in our surrounding school systems as well. A 4-day work week with a day off each week is offered. Qualifications include current certification in family practice by the American Board of Family Practice or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, successful completion of a three-year ACGME/AOA accredited family practice residency program followed by the successful completion of an accredited fellowship in sports medicine and board certified/eligible. The applicant must demonstrate that they have provided substantive competent clinical service in sports medicine during their fellowship. They must be licensed in the state of Indiana, have completed an accredited sports medicine fellowship, and have experience with ultrasound guided injections.

    Major Health Partners is offering an exciting opportunity to grow our orthopaedic service line with an additional highly-qualified Sports Medicine physician to join a Hospital Employed Practice. This will be a 100% sports medicine position. It will include coverage at local area high schools. Diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, concussion management, fracture care, PRP injections, and percutaneous tenotomy procedures are available as desired. This position will support a primary care referral base of 31 employed primary care physicians/advanced practitioners. Our well-established Shelby County High School based outreach Athletic Training program also provides a solid referral system to our established Sports Medicine practice.

    We have specialists in general orthopaedic surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, rheumatology, pain management specialists, and podiatry. Electronic Medical Record Meditech Expanse Teaching opportunity with students/residents rotating from Marian University. Seasoned office staff including a sports medicine physician, certified athletic trainer, certified medical assistant, and orthopaedic surgeons available. Onsite outpatient physical and occupational therapy located in the ReNovo Orthopaedic Center with the orthopaedic team. Onsite X-ray at the Orthopaedic Center. MHP Medical Center is located within walking distance of the Orthopaedic Center. MRI and CT located at the Medical Center. Hospital based surgical services for inpatients and outpatients located at the Medical Center. Employment contract is a three-year agreement with competitive salary and work RVU incentive bonus option. Initial sign-on bonus. Annual commitment payment each consecutive contract year beginning with year two.
