O’Briens Riverwalk Supervisor Job Summary

Seeking an organized, efficient, and customer service-oriented seasonal restaurant supervisor to lead our growing team and handle the day-to-day operations of our seasonal cafe. In this role, you will play a key role on our team by hiring, scheduling, and the restaurant staff as well as overseeing the success and profitability of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Assist in recruiting, training, supervising, discipline, and development of restaurant staff, including hosts, servers, bartenders and dishwashers

· Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing of the restaurant

· Handle paperwork and other administrative duties, communication with corporate office

· Coordinate daily front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations

· Promote and market the business, while consistently assessing profitability and identifying areas for improvement. Knowledge of the City’s Riverwalk and events.

· Respond efficiently and accurately to guests’ inquiries and complaints

· Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant employees

· Responsible for proper opening and closing procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

· Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

· Customer service-oriented attitude

· Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team

· Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure

· Keen problem solver eager to tackle challenges in an organized and strategic manner

· Candidates with prior experience as a supervisor are preferred

· Valid Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate and BASSET Certificate (can be obtained if necessary)
