Job description

MX is a fintech company on a mission to empower the world to be financially strong. We build technology that helps banks, credit unions, and fintechs deliver smarter, more intuitive financial experiences to millions of people.
Like many startups, we've navigated real growth challenges - and we've come out stronger on the other side. Today, MX is in a phase ofrenewed momentum and scale, with a solid foundation and a clear vision for what's next. This is a place where thoughtful execution matters, innovation is encouraged, and individuals have real ownership over their work.
Our culture values curiosity, accountability, and impact. We give people the space to question assumptions, design better solutions, and help shape how the company grows. If you're looking to do meaningful work, influence outcomes, and grow alongside a company that's ready to move fast, you'll feel at home at MX.
Job Summary
Drive the strategic end-to-end delivery of complex software products, shifting beyond execution to realize product visions. Partner with cross-functional leadership (Product, Engineering, Sales, Legal) to align teams on high-impact outcomes and scalable architectures that deliver measurable organizational impact.
Partner with engineering leads to navigate technical trade-offs, optimize SDLC processes, and ensure product quality. Influence both product strategy and technical execution to increase developer velocity and system reliability.
Job Duties
  • Drive end-to-end product execution by partnering with stakeholders to define requirements and oversee implementation.
  • Facilitate technical design reviews and evaluate architectural trade-offs between scalability and speed-to-market.
  • Optimize the SDLC to remove bottlenecks and ensure predictable, high-quality software deployments.
  • Manage complex cross-team dependencies and mitigate technical risks to prevent delivery stalls.
  • Translate high-level requirements into actionable technical plans, API contracts, and system diagrams.
  • Coordinate alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and InfoSec teams.
  • Establish data-driven governance using KPIs and OKRs to provide executive-level visibility into program health.
  • Oversee multi-service release cycles, ensuring launches meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Establish frameworks for proactive risk detection and governance, utilizing RAID logs and mitigation strategies to transition programs from reactive troubleshooting to predictable delivery status.
  • Influence product and engineering roadmaps by synthesizing cross-functional technical dependencies, ensuring horizontal alignment across domains and driving data-backed trade-off decisions at the executive level.
  • Integrate AI tools and agentic workflows to automate routine reporting and documentation tasks.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical technical experience
  • 10+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale software delivery
  • 10+ years managing end-to-end SDLC for complex distributed systems
  • Expertise in modern tools (Jira, Agile)
  • 10+ years in strategic roadmapping, resource allocation, and technical risk mitigation
  • Experience integrating AI tools into workflows to increase personal and team velocity

Preferred Requirements
  • 3+ years of direct experience in a technical role (SWE, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Architect)
  • Experience leading systemic change management within an engineering organization
  • Experience working in fintech
