Job description

Lender Assistant

Location: Downtown Austin, TX (Onsite)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Lender Assistant to support a high-performing commercial banking team in Downtown Austin. This individual will work directly with the Market Executive, Commercial Lender, and Portfolio Manager supporting a commercial loan portfolio exceeding $200MM.

This is a fast-paced, highly visible role that requires an organized, proactive professional who enjoys being an integral part of a collaborative lending team. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in an office environment, communicates well with lenders and clients, and can anticipate needs before they're asked.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Commercial Lenders and Market Executive.
  • Coordinate commercial loan documentation and closing process.
  • Assist with loan pipeline management and tracking.
  • Prepare loan packages and maintain loan files.
  • Communicate with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and internal departments.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Manager and Credit Analyst to ensure smooth loan processing.
  • Schedule meetings and assist with customer service requests.
  • Maintain accuracy and organization in all lending documentation.
  • Support multiple commercial banking relationships while managing competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Commercial Lender Assistant or Commercial Loan Assistant.
  • Commercial banking experience required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy lending environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in-office every day.
  • Experience with Encino lending platform is a significant plus.
  • Experience supporting Commercial Relationship Managers or Market Executives preferred.
