Job description

MQ Transportation, LLC is seeking reliable, compassionate, and professional drivers to provide safe and timely non-emergency medical transportation for patients traveling to and from medical appointments, from hospitals to assisted living facilities, and from hospitals to their homes, including nursing homes. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, customer-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality service to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport ambulatory, wheelchair-bound, and stretcher patients to and from medical appointments
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including proper use of wheelchair lifts and securement systems
  • Ensure all passengers are safely secured before transit
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-maintained vehicle at all times
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding trip status, delays, or issues
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to all clients, caregivers, and healthcare staff
  • Complete required trip documentation accurately and timely
  • Follow infection control and hygiene protocols in compliance with healthcare transportation standards

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Minimum age: 21 years old
  • Previous experience in NEMT, patient transport, or customer service preferred
  • Ability to safely operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided if needed)
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and driving record check
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Physically able to assist passengers, including lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing wheelchairs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with elderly, disabled, or Medicaid populations
  • Knowledge of Palm Beach County and surrounding areas
  • Familiarity with GPS/navigation systems and trip scheduling apps
