Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiology Specialty Position Summary:

MFM Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with at least 2 years experience to join our Cardiology Specialty team. The practice provider will work collaboratively with our cardiologist, physicians, medical assistants, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care. This role combines clinical expertise, patient education, and a strong focus on improving outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic studies related to cardiology.
  • Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologist.
  • Manage follow-up care for patients with chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and post-procedure care.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, and lab work.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modification, and treatment plans.
  • Support cardiologists in procedures and clinic operations as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with MFM Health's standards of care, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
Salary Range:

125k - 160k commensurate w/experience

Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current DEA license (or eligibility).
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Prior cardiology or internal medicine experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment.
Schedule and Work Environment:
  • Full-time position with a combination of clinic and hospital-based responsibilities.
  • Schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends to support patient needs.
  • Collegial, team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on patient-centered care and professional growth.
