Maui Hands Seeks Gallery Assistant and Sales Associate

We are seeking someone who can work a combination job, 3-4 days a week with shifts as both a Sales Associate and Gallery Assistant.
1 day per week will be as a Sales Associate, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Learning about our artists and the works they create to share this information with customers
- Engaging with customers throughout the sales process, and working to facilitate successful sales through customer service, positive interactions, and knowledge about the artist and products
- Processing sales in the point of sale system
- Following up with customers as needed to provide additional information
- Being organized and detailed with paperwork and systems related to sales and inventory functions
2-3 days per week as a Gallery Assistant to the Store Manager and Sales Associates, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Greeting customers, answering phones, processing sales, wrapping fragile items, and keeping gallery traffic flowing
- General cleaning (dusting shelves/items, vacuuming floors, polishing jewelry and woodwork) and displaying merchandise in an attractive manner
- Being organized and detail-oriented with both paperwork and digital files in order to check in new inventory and ship orders
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Compensation: $22/hour as Gallery Assistant. $10/hour plus Commission as Sales Associate plus Commission (combined averaging $40/hour)
